General:
Christopher Horn was the progenitor of one Horn family in the USA as gleaned from his application for a pension for war service, his will and many other documents and official records. A great deal of information has been accumulated about Christopher his descendants and related families. The family originated in Augusta County in the great valley of Virginia.
In 1775 Christopher enlisted in the Virginia Continental army. He served till 1780.
Int the late 1790s he received a land grant in the Cumberland River Valley in
southern Ky., He moved to Turkey Creek on the North side of the Cumberland
River.

Christopher applied for a pension on Dec 5, 1823. 49
